A rich vibrant print capturing the beauty of the sloping rugged Irish mountainside. This print has encapsulated the deep tones and textures of the original wool painting magnificently – you can almost feel them!

Description

‘At the Foot of Gullion’ is a rendition of the many dwellings you will find dotted around the mountain slopes of Ireland. These one and two roomed stone cottages often reared large families who eventually moved away to work leaving one at home to tend the few acres.

“Only those of us who live and toil around her girth,
will be the ones to truly know her worth.”

‘At the foot of Gullion’ pays homage to those brave enough to carve out a life on the high slopes. The poorer you were the higher up you lived… But oh the richer your soul!!!

This print sits perfectly in both a more traditional country style setting or a more modern styled home. The vibrant colour and texture of the silks and wools used in the original textile piece are beautifully captured on the finest art paper. It is available to buy mounted or framed.

‘At the Foot Of Gullion’ is a certified, numbered and signed, limited edition Fine Art Giclée print from an original textile artwork by Caóilfíonn Murphy O’Hanlon of Cushla of Gullion. Professionally printed on highest quality 240gm Arches Aquarelle Rag Watercolor paper, this print meets the highest standard of archival quality in its colour fastness and age resistance.

This limited edition print of my wool and silk painting captures the texture, vibrancy and colour of the original piece wonderfully. A reminder of the Irish Landscape this fine art print is beautifully mounted and sealed with an information panel on the reverse, making it a beautiful ready to give gift from Ireland.

I bought this as a gift for my brother in Austrailia to remind him of home. I loved it so much I bought a second one for myself. You can almost touch the wool and everyone comments on it.
