‘Out Of The Blue’ is an original wool painting and was made as part of the ‘La Bealtaine – Ar Slieve Gullion’ Caóilfíonn’s first solo collection. The ancient woodland on the lower slopes of Slieve Gullion come alive in late April and early May with a profusion of bluebell and forget me nots growing amongst the wild garlic, fern and spring beech shoots. This uplifting piece transports us in the buoyancy of hope of a long summer ahead delighting the soul.
A bright and vivid landscape wet felted with wools, silks, nepps and threads capturing the joy of the bluebell wood.
Presented in a white box frame 33 x 33cms.
